Being a New Orleans wedding photographer, I love all of the new and wonderful venues I get to photograph. Eric and Betu opted not to have the traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony but they did have one stellar wedding reception at the Panda King Ballroom. One of the greatest factors of being a Louisiana wedding photographer is how diverse our culture is and having the honor to witness and be a part of so many other cultures that I otherwise would know nothing about. Although I’m not going to lie, I was a little worried about what to expect with all of the Vietnamese traditions I was quickly about to learn. Fortunately, the videographer from Andrew Bui Films was there to guide me along the way and let me know what to look for. HUGE plus!
The lovebirds choose to get ready at the Westin Hotel. I don’t think there could ever be a more beautiful hotel in New Orleans. Just the window light alone is AMAZING! So naturally when you add a beautiful couple, stellar window light and gorgeous stairs you just created magic! You know fairytale magic. Just seeing how they looked at each other was breathtaking. This really was Betu’s Cinderella moment.
The Panda King Ballroom went above and beyond to create one of the most elegant and romantic places I have ever seen. Close your eyes and picture beautiful white linen draped over the ceiling, tall crystal candle vases creating a beautifully delicate glow and table settings fit for a queen. It was truly beyond words. Not a single detail was left out in creating a romantic atmosphere for such a great couple to enjoy with family and friends.
Eric and Betu,
Y’all are such an amazing couple and I am still so beyond grateful and honored to have captured the beginning of your love story. I hope that life brings your years of happiness and smiles. May you continue to laugh, smile and dance the night away for many years to come.
