Just 10 short months ago Nate Pierre took his girlfriend Darcey Crawford to their 3rd grade classroom where they met 16 years ago at Folsom Elementary. As Darcey sat in the classroom and Nate read a story to the class little did Darcey know what was about to happen.. You guessed it.. He proposed!! You know you remember the story it was buzzing all over social media and several news outlets. But just incase here is a link for you to check it out..

Just a few weeks after the whirl wind of excitement Darcey reached out to me and wanted to meet for coffee to chat about wedding photography. I have to admit, I felt like I was getting ready for the meeting of a lifetime. I mean in my world Darcey and Nate were pretty famous and they wanted to meet with me! From the moment we sat down it was like I had known them for years. So down to earth and easy to talk to, it was clear they were perfect for each other. Darcey eagerly admitted she didn’t want a long engagement and was ready to get married to her bestie. So let the planning begin!
Darcey and Nate choose to have their wedding at The Greystone in Mandeville, La. It was the perfect backdrop for their romantic fall wedding. The sun was just beginning to go down casting an amazing glow just peeking out from behind the gazebo where we did the first look. I don’t know who was more excited for the first look me or Darcey, I was so eager to see the look on Nate’s face as he saw his bride for the first time. No first look would be complete without a window full of bridesmaids peeping out to see some of the amazingness. I can not tell you how much I love a couple who is willing to set aside some time before the ceremony to do photos. It really does amazing things and gives me some creative mojo to give back to the couple in the form of beautiful wedding photos.
Surrounded by so many of their family and friends Darcey and Nate sealed the deal when they said, “I do” and became husband and wife. To think this love story started so many years ago in a 3rd grade classroom. Fairytales really do come true
